Looking for UN Cultural Costumes

In the school I'm working with, we had this annual activity called United Nations Day which is held every October. I already have my "Vietnam" costume which I often use every year, but my co-teachers suggested that I should wear something different this year. So, my cousin and I hurried to a shop to find a UN cultural costume that would fit me. Sad to say, there wasn't any costumes available for adults, only for kids. My cousin suggested to go to "Ukay-Ukay" shops but still there's we didn't find any. Anyway, I guess I will just have to wear my old costume. In short my shopping day isn't that good as I am a bit short of time.

I just wish I will have a lot time searching for costumes so that I will appear super gorgeous like these women below. LOL!

How to Sell Your Clothes Online

Selling online is one of my hubby's sidelines, but not so these days as he is busy with his work. But his experience made me believe that we can truly gain cash online. Anyway, I just found these tips from Reader's Digest and thought of sharing this especially to all the women out there who have plenty of clothes in their closet. Here are the steps:

1. Wade through the pile.
Assess your unwanted clothes, then assign them to categories: Is the garment designer or vintage?

2. Understand the basics.
For the amateur seller, eBay makes the process simple, with tutorials on how its auction system works. This is where my hubby learned his online selling stuff. Other established vendors are thepaperbagprincess.com and decadesvintage.com.

3. Tell the whole truth.
Is it new, with tags still attached? Note any pulls, stains or repairs. Full disclosure now prevents disgruntled buyer later. If a stain is persistent, consider donation instead. In other words, be honest. If you don't want to get a negative feedback, you have to tell the whole truth.

4. Size up garments.
Sizing varies wildly, so list the garment's country of origin and provide its measurements, along with the size and name on the label.

5.Dress outfits to sell.
Clothers sell better when shown in 3-D. Have a friend play model and take photos from several angles, against an uncluttered backdrop. Crop the head, for privacy concerns.

6. Collect your cash.
According to a study done in 2008, most Web buyers prefer to use Paypal. Once you sign up for a free account, the service acts as an intermediary and keeps credit cards and banking infos private.

My 1st Post

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog. I created this blog because I love to shop. I love to shop for others. I love to shop even if I don't have money. LOL! But I am not an extravagant shopper. I only spend what my pocket allows me. As much as possible, I wanted to shop on things that are affordable. I want to share all the my shopping experiences here, my favorite shop and products. I will also talk about my shopping tips and more.
