Tempted with Samsung LCD TV?

LCD TV has been the trend of all Filipino households today. A lot of people are now taking the shift from the typical TV screens to an LCD TV screen. It's not only about the TV's features but as well as it is energy saving. We have 4 TV's at home but we still don't have an LCD TV yet. Hubby and I have been talking about it but it is not yet our priority as of this moment.

Last Friday, hubby and I went to an appliance shop because he was checking for an acoustic guitar. While entering the shop, we saw different series of Samsung LCD TV. I was glued to it because I find it very attractive to watch. Nice resolution, nice color... and there I am standing in front of the TV. Hubby went on his way to the shop while I stayed there near the entrance door still watching the TV. After a few minutes, I noticed there were plenty of people at my who were also watching TV so I decided to enter the shop and go where hubby was. While inside the shop, I saw my husband also glued to the LCD TV displayed inside. LOL! I was checking on the TV price and some of it is quiet affordable. The store made some payment terms that is affordable to the customers. That is why, a lot of people nowadays own one.

One of the LCD TV that caught our attention was the Samsung 650 series. It really has enhanced picture quality that even an old movie can caught your attention. Hubby was whispering to me...we'll buy something like that! LOL! I told him... only if we will have lots and lots of money.

We went home still talking about the TV... it was really very nice but again we can't afford yet and is still not our priority.

Shopping for our House Maid

Last week, our house maid asked me to accompany her on Sunday (January 3, 2010) because it's her Pay day and she wanted to shop something for herself. She's just new in the city and she is not so familiar with the place yet, so we went together to one of the shopping malls her in our city. Even though it was a tiring afternoon, I was happy to accompany her because she was so excited to spend all her hard earnings. She told me that she'd like to buy some pair of jeans and some blouses too. So, we went to the ladies section and asked her to choose the clothes she like.

Here are the things she bought:
Hot Pink Jeans - She was smiling when she saw this. Which means she really liked it. LOL! Added to that, it was very affordable: for only Php 149.00 (more less $3 USD).
Girl's Tees - (Not the actual photo of the Tees, but looks similar to it.) She bought 4 girl's tees at Php 79.00 ($1. 7 USD each. ) Very affordable isn't it? She was smiling while paying at the cashier because she can't imagine she bought many clothes for an affordable price.

After we buy clothes, she also bought cologne and other toiletries. She was so excited to go home and fit all the clothes she bought. On her next pay day, I guess she won't be needing me anymore because she already knew where to buy affordable stuff.

BOSS Turbo Over-Drive (OD-2)

MellowYellowBadge

My hubby has owned a lot of guitar effects but among other distortion/overdrive effects this one is his favorite. BOSS made this pedal between mid 80's to the mid 90"s. He bought this pedal from his brother in-law which is quite a good buy for him because it was affordable. This guitar pedal is not anymore sold in the market as BOSS has stopped manufacturing pedals of this kind. Hubby loves this pedal so much because it provides warm tone from classic overdrive to a searing distortion effect for his guitar.

You can still find used guitar pedal like this one at eBay with price bids that range from $30-$90 depending on the pedal's condition.
