Buying Gifts

I'll be going out this afternoon to buy gifts for my relatives and church friends. I still haven't finished wrapping gifts for them. Hopefully today I will finish everything. I'm still having difficulty thinking on what gifts I will buy for them. I am considering of something they like and something that is affordable. So today, I'll be checking on different shops to find some great deals. Hope I can find a lot.

Got to go...

Beefly

"Beefly" is one of the clothing shops I often visit. It is located here in Cagayan de Oro (near Kevin Enterprises). This shop is not so popular in the city as the store is not so attractive. It looks so small outside where you can only find limited shirts on sale, but there is actually a big warehouse at the back of it. This shop is intended mainly to those people who shops wholesale. Their main costumers are small time boutique owners in the provinces like Camiguin and Bukidnon.
What I like about this shop is that they sell clothes at a very affordable price. The blouses which are often sold in boutiques costs around Php 300, but you can only purchase them in this shop for only Php 150 (wholesale prize). Jeans at malls that costs Php 1,000 is only sold here at around Php 450. Great discount isn't it? But since this is a wholesale store, you need to buy at least 3pcs to 6pcs clothing items in order to avail of the great discount.

The parents of my student works in this shop. They gave me a special privilege whenever I shop here. I can buy one item at a time and still enjoy the great discount. This is the reason why I enjoy shopping here.

Mini-Guitar Tuner for Hubby

Last month, I purchased a mini-guitar tuner for my hubby as my birthday present for him. I bought it at eBay at around $13USD (inclusive of shipping cost). I thought it would arrive the day before hubby's birthday. But sad to say, it came more or less 3 weeks after hubby's birthday. I contacted the seller and he said that he sent it on time. He was also worried because it might be that the item is lost. After many emails, my birthday gift for hubby came. He was so happy for his gift.
Checking out if the guitar tuner is working. Thank God it's functioning.

Romantic Wish by Victoria's Secret

I am not so fond of buying perfumes because I have lots of it given by my friends who works abroad. Until now, I still have plenty which I only used it very often. A few months ago, a relative of mine asked me to purchase her Victoria's Secret products which is payable in one month. I was hesitant at first. She told me that her earnings from all of those scents will be used as her school allowance, so I immediately get one. I got the "Romantic Wish" body mist for Php 700 ($16 USD). I like the scent because it's very sweet. I never had any idea how much that perfume would cost in the market and I find it very expensive. At the back of my mind I just thought of it as a way of helping her in her studies.

Later this afternoon, me and my friend happened to pass by the cosmetics department of one of the malls here in our city. My friend checked on Victoria's Secret and I also checked the price of the one I got from my relative. I found out that the price was only Php 425 ($9 USD). Wow! I think my relative really did earned a lot from selling that product.

Hello Kitty Vacuum Cleaner

I have had asthma attacks lately and I'm planning to buy a vacuum cleaner. I think it's good to have one because dusts keeps on accumulating in my room. I also have to avoid dusts because it's the main cause of my allergies which can lead to irritation on my nose and then asthma.I wanted to buy a mini vacuum cleaner because I only use it on my room. While looking for a picture to place on this post, I was fascinated with this cute hello kitty vacuum cleaner. It looks cute and I find it nice to have one of this. It comes with a 5 meter cord and it costs around $123 USD or around Php 6,000 in the Philippines. I hope I can find something like this in our place. If none, then I will have to settle with the best yet affordable vacuum cleaner I can find in the market.

Looking for UN Cultural Costumes

In the school I'm working with, we had this annual activity called United Nations Day which is held every October. I already have my "Vietnam" costume which I often use every year, but my co-teachers suggested that I should wear something different this year. So, my cousin and I hurried to a shop to find a UN cultural costume that would fit me. Sad to say, there wasn't any costumes available for adults, only for kids. My cousin suggested to go to "Ukay-Ukay" shops but still there's we didn't find any. Anyway, I guess I will just have to wear my old costume. In short my shopping day isn't that good as I am a bit short of time.

I just wish I will have a lot time searching for costumes so that I will appear super gorgeous like these women below. LOL!

How to Sell Your Clothes Online

Selling online is one of my hubby's sidelines, but not so these days as he is busy with his work. But his experience made me believe that we can truly gain cash online. Anyway, I just found these tips from Reader's Digest and thought of sharing this especially to all the women out there who have plenty of clothes in their closet. Here are the steps:

1. Wade through the pile.
Assess your unwanted clothes, then assign them to categories: Is the garment designer or vintage?

2. Understand the basics.
For the amateur seller, eBay makes the process simple, with tutorials on how its auction system works. This is where my hubby learned his online selling stuff. Other established vendors are thepaperbagprincess.com and decadesvintage.com.

3. Tell the whole truth.
Is it new, with tags still attached? Note any pulls, stains or repairs. Full disclosure now prevents disgruntled buyer later. If a stain is persistent, consider donation instead. In other words, be honest. If you don't want to get a negative feedback, you have to tell the whole truth.

4. Size up garments.
Sizing varies wildly, so list the garment's country of origin and provide its measurements, along with the size and name on the label.

5.Dress outfits to sell.
Clothers sell better when shown in 3-D. Have a friend play model and take photos from several angles, against an uncluttered backdrop. Crop the head, for privacy concerns.

6. Collect your cash.
According to a study done in 2008, most Web buyers prefer to use Paypal. Once you sign up for a free account, the service acts as an intermediary and keeps credit cards and banking infos private.

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog. I created this blog because I love to shop. I love to shop for others. I love to shop even if I don't have money. LOL! But I am not an extravagant shopper. I only spend what my pocket allows me. As much as possible, I wanted to shop on things that are affordable. I want to share all the my shopping experiences here, my favorite shop and products. I will also talk about my shopping tips and more.
